Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,
Greetings, all, and welcome to my Class Website!
I am Ms. Pierce and I am thrilled to be a Clinton Cardinal this year! I graduated from the University of North Alabama in 2017 with my Bachelor of Science in Education / English Language Arts. I studied abroad in Thuringia, Germany for one semester, and because of my love for German language, and let's be honest, German FOOD, I have a minor in German language. I hope to bring cultural experiences, knowledge, and understanding to my classroom this year and celebrate diversity. I also intend to focus not only on the wonderful topics within English Language Arts, but also character building and skill building. I love all things creative, challenging, FUN, and exciting, and through incorporating these elements into daily lessons, I hope to inspire students to be their best selves, submit their best work, and create things they are proud of. When I'm not at school, I enjoy exploring new places, antiquing, eating banana splits, and playing with my handsome yellow lab, Pickle. I am looking forward to not only teaching my favorite subject, but learning from my students this year, my first year of teaching, and I appreciate your support!
"Be yourself. Show empathy for your students and get to know them. It’s about more than what is in the book. It’s about what is inside you, your students, and helping them become capable of facing the real world." -Denise Duguay
GO CARDINALS!
